We do not have the tools or the expertise to take this clock apart.




The front of the clock has the hands connected together with a pin of sorts. The rear of the clock has old, dried tape holding the back of the clock in place. You can feel the wood beneath the tape. There is also a metal plate on the back side of the clock, that is held in place by very small metal screws.

We understand your concerns about the items, however we take items in from other people and sell them for a commission. We do not take items apart because we don't want to damage them or lower their value.

Vintage Moderntone Cobalt Blue Salt and Pepper Shakers

Auction Genie Presents: We are offering a Vintage Moderntone Cobalt Blue Salt and Pepper Shakers! These shakers were manufactured by the Hazel Atlas Glass Company in the early 1900s!

The Hazel Atlas Glass Company was created by the merging of the Hazel Glass Company and the Atlas Glass and Metal Company, both of Washington, PA in 1902. Hazel Atlas opened its headquarters in Wheeling, West Virginia. In 1929 they began to make colored glass. They made green, pink, topaz, cobalt blue, black, crystal, white milk glass (wmg) and dark amethyst glass creations. The company was taken over by Continental Can in 1956.

Measurements: Approximately 4 inches tall X 1 1/2 circumference base.

Condition: These glass shakers are in overall good vintage condition. There are no chips, marks, damages, or repairs to the glass. The metal tops are tarnished and dented- one more so than the other

Auction Genie Presents: We are offering a beautiful VINTAGE (late 1800s) D.F. Haynes & Co. Calvertine-style Terrine. This is a lovely Victorian terrine, with a lion's head on each the handle along with gold detailed flowers in relief for the design. D. F. Haynes of Baltimore, Maryland did not always mark their items. This pieces is marked Toulon Dec. 909-2. Such a company does not exist in our research, so we think this may be a pattern name, or where this piece was manufactured. As for the Dec. 909-2, we are unsure what that means.

Measurements: The terrine measures about 13 inches tall X 14 from handle to handle X 11 inches wide.

Condition: This piece is in overall good, vintage condition. There are a few marks and chips (see photos). The piece is highly crazed which is common with this type of item. There are three chips on the underside of the lid and one on the outside edge of the handle. There is a brown stain on the inside bottom of the terrine. There are no cracks or repairs. The gold paint has rubbed away in some areas. Overall this piece will still display beautifully.

Measurements: The pitcher measures about 11 inches tall X 10 inches from handle to spout X 5 inch diameter opening.

Condition: This piece is in overall good, vintage condition. There are a few marks and this piece is highly crazed. The gold paint is wearing from natural wear. There is a 1 1/4" crack in the opening on the inside near the spout (see photos below). There is some stains inside. Overall this piece will still display beautifully.

Auction Genie Presents: We are offering a beautiful VINTAGE (late 1800s) D.F. Haynes and Co. Calvertine-style Shaving Mug and Bowl. This is a lovely Victorian mug and with a lion's head on the handle along with gold trimmed flowers in relief for the design. The bowl has gold trimmed flowers in relief for the design.The mug is simple marked with a number 2 and the bowl is unmarked.

David Haynes's D.F. Haynes & Co. established around 1881, elevated the quality of the products available to the middleclass rather than to crafting pieces that only the richest could afford, as was common with European pottery. He created beautiful pieces and marketed them to the masses at bargain prices. Although considered a top artist in American pottery, Haynes's business practices would eventually lead to his financial fall. His pieces were awarded gold and silver ribbons at several of the nation's largest fairs such as the World's Columbian Exposition and the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition. Around 1885, D.F. Haynes & Co. introduced several types of pottery including what some consider Haynes's most beautiful work. Calvertine, a white majolica, was decorated in gold, and its bands were grooved on a lathe.

Measurements: The mug is 4 1/2 inches tall X 5 inches from handle to mug end X 3 inch diameter opening. The bowl is 3 inches tall X 5 1/4 wide.

Condition: These pieces are in overall good, vintage condition. There are a few marks and they are highly crazed. The gold is wearing from natural wear. The mug has a crack and chip on the inside and a crack in the flower design (see photos below). The bowl has a few cracks besides the crazing lines.
